Specimen Signature EPF
A Specimen Signature, also known as a Representative Signature, pertains to a typical signature of an authorized individual affiliated with the company. This Representative Signature holds significance in official transactions concerning the Employee's Provident Fund (EPF) and during the process of company incorporation.

The template of Specimen Signature is for the employers of the establishment at the time of registration of the same establishment with the Employees’ PF Organisation.
- Name & Address of the Establishment: It typically depicts the full and detailed identification of a business or organization, including its official name and physical location.
- Name & Designation of the Employers: This section enlists the name & designation of the employers or authorized signatories for the establishment. The designations can be Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Managing Director, President, Director, Manager, or any other specific role that delineates their responsibilities and standing within the organizational hierarchy.
- Specimen Signatures: This section captures the authentic and authorized signatures of the designated employers within an organization.
How to Submit Specimen Signature during Company Registration?
To complete the submission of Specimen Signature, adhere to the following steps:
- Upon successful submission of the SPICe+ form, navigate to the linked AGILE-PRO-S form available on the portal.
- Provide all the necessary details as required in the form.
- Attach all essential documents and any required attachments.
- Download the Specimen Signature format.
- Complete the requisite information in the format, scan the document, and attach it to the AGILE-PRO-S form.
- Upload the entire SPICe form, including AGILE-PRO-S and any other relevant forms, along with the accompanying documents, on the MCA portal.
- Affix the Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) as part of the submission process.
- Pay the required fees.
- Proceed as per the instructions mentioned for the Company Registration.
* Effective 15th July, 2024, DSC charges have increased by ₹ 1,000 per DSC, by the Government. This will be chargeable over and above the given prices.
Fees for Specimen Signature in India
The submission of the Specimen Signature involves no extra charges. Simply include it alongside your incorporation forms and documents when submitting the AGILE-PRO-S and SPICe+ Part B applications.
Validity of the Specimen Signature
The authority has the provision to reserve an approved name for 3 Months from the date of MCA approval based on the information and documents provided.

A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) holds the confidential information of the Signer ( identity details. date of being certified an name of the Certifying Agency) and can be accessed through a private key. In contrast, Specimen Signature is a representative signature to verify Signer's identity and authenticity in official documents and holds no confidential information.
Can I fill out a Specimen Signature Card for EPF online for my existing company?
- Fill in your company's name and address details in the designated spaces.
- Specify the name or names of the employer or employers, along with their respective designations.
- Navigate to the specimen signature section, and you'll find columns for obtaining the signature(s) of your employer(s).
- Once the specimen signature is completed, convert the form to PDF format.
- Visit the EPF Organisation website and access the Form 5 section, where you'll find an option for uploading your specimen signature.
